I have been taking pictures one way or another for 40 years, but about 5 years ago, I consciously began making photographs. This transition has allowed me to discover a voice as an artist, as well as an observer.  I enjoy the photography of the moment: capturing a fleeting instant of place or of people, and the play of light, texture, and shape. These are candid and often contemplative moments.
In addition to my own fine art work, I also serve as a liturgical photographer for the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and St Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, San Diego.
I routinely photograph ocean swimming events, and am available for capturing informal moments at a variety of events.  I have worked for individuals as well as organizations, including churches and the San Diego Early Music Society.  My work has been published in local papers.
